PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Portland Police responded to two shootings overnight Saturday and believe they are related.
The first shooting happened just before 2:00 a.m. in the area of North Mason Street and Haight Avenue. Police found an empty, parked car shot up, but no victims.
Just before 3:00 a.m., police were called to a possible drive-by shooting at Southwest 2nd Avenue and Pine Street downtown. Police say they found evidence of gunfire but no victims.
A 28-year-old man with a gunshot wound walked into Legacy Emanuel Medical Center about 3:30 a.m. Police say he is a known gang associate.
The Gang Enforcement Team believes the shootings are related but it’s unclear in which shooting the victim was hurt. Police say he is not cooperating.
