PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Christmas shopping just got a little jollier thanks to the city of Portland.
Parking will be free at any downtown Portland Smartpark garage on the next three Sundays in December — 6, 13 and 20. Drivers can park for free between the hours of noon and 5:00 p.m.
Drivers can get their parking validated at the customer service kiosk at Pioneer Place, Boys Fort, and two PDX Pop-Up Shops, 438 NW Broadway and 341 NW 5th Ave.
The Portland Business Alliance says it is an effort to encourage people to come downtown to do their holiday shopping.
