PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A 25-year-old man was charged Tuesday in connection with the murder of a 19-year-old man in Southeast Portland in July.
Deandrea Sanders was already in custody on numerous, unrelated charges when detectives charged him with the murder of Anthony Jackson Jr.

Sanders is now being charged with murder, attempted aggravated murder and felony possession of a firearm, Portland Police Bureau said.
The murder happened on July 12 around 3:15 p.m. on the 13000 block of SE Powell Boulevard, police said.
First responders found Jackson with life-threatening gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital where he later died.
