MARION CO., Ore. (KOIN) — A 28-year-old man has been indicted for the aggravated murder of a woman whose body was found on a rural road last year, officials said.
Saul Octavio Morales is considered the primary suspect in 36-year-old Brenda Bautista’s death, Marion County Sheriff’s Office said.
A passerby spotted Bautista’s body in October 2015.
An autopsy revealed she died of multiple gunshot wounds, deputies said.
Morales was transferred to Marion County Jail from the Oregon Department of Corrections where he was serving a sentence on an unrelated charge.
He is reportedly being held without bail.
