Man found shot to death next to car in NE Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A man was shot to death and found in the street next to a car in Portland’s Madison South neighborhood late Sunday night.

Gunfire was reported at 11:54 p.m. Sunday in the 2100 block of Northeast 81st Avenue.

When police arrived, they found the man down in the street next to a vehicle. Police told KOIN 6 News they found evidence of gunfire at the scene, and witnesses described hearing a car speed away after hearing the gunfire.

Investigators said there are no suspects and no apparent connection to gang activity.
