TIGARD, Ore. (KOIN) — A wrong-way pickup driver caused a crash that also involved another pickup and a car on the north end of the I-5 flyover ramp to Hwy 217 in the early hours of Saturday.

The crash happened around 3:35 a.m., Tigard police said in a release. Witnesses told police a Dodge Ram was headed the wrong way when it hit the other vehicles. The Dodge rolled over and pinned the driver, who was rushed to OHSU with life-threatening injuries.

Emergency responders unpinned the driver of the car, who was also sent by ambulance to OHSU. The condition of that driver is not available at this time.

The driver of the other pickup did not appear to be injured, investigators said.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

A similar crash happened in the same area on April 4. In that case, the wrong-way driver died.
