TIGARD, Ore. (KOIN) — A Florida man was convicted and sentenced to 20 years in prison for sexually abusing a Tigard child between 2005 and 2007.
David Brooker molested the girl, who was 5 when the abuse began, when he lived in Tigard. Police began their investigation in 2013 after getting information from a Jackson County investigator.
Brooker, 59, was indicted by a Washington County grand jury in October 2014, then arrested in Florida in January 2015. He was convicted on 8 counts of felony sex abuse at the conclusion of a 3-day trial earlier this month.
The child’s mother was convicted in 2014 for failing to protect her daughter from another man, David Pasiemiak, who allegedly abused the same child between 2009 and 2011.
Pasiemiak remains at large and is believed to be in the Portland area. Warrants are posted for his arrest.
