Police: Sex offender had thousands of child porn files

KEIZER, Ore. (KOIN) — A registered sex offender was arrested in November for reportedly possessing thousands of child pornography files, authorities said.

Keizer police executed a search warrant at 51-year-old Larry Lee Edwards’ home on the 4000 block of Hennessy Lane NE on November 19 after cyber tips indicated he was posting child porn images online.

The predatory sex offender was taken into custody without incident and charged with 20 counts of first-degree encouragement of child sex abuse.

Investigators found Edwards was in possession of thousands of child porn videos and images.

There is no evidence to indicate the 51-year-old has abused any new victims, police said.
