PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A 2-alarm fire fueled in part by the wind whipped through a 2-story building in Southeast Portland and displaced a few families.
The fire in the 5800 block of SE 92nd Avenue was burning between floors of the residential-and-commercial building. The area between SE 92nd and Foster was closed for a time.
No one was hurt and the families affected literally escaped the fire with just the clothes on their backs.
The Red Cross is assisting those affected.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
