NEWBERG, Ore. (KOIN) — One cyclist died and another was critically injured after being involved in a crash in Newberg Tuesday night, officials said.
The crash between two bicycles and a compact SUV happened on North Valley Road near Dopp Road around 7:05 p.m., Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office said.
One cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. Another was taken by Life Flight helicopter to Oregon Health Science University.
The driver of the car sustained minor injuries in the crash. They reportedly stayed on the scene and cooperated with investigators.
North Valley Road is closed for the time being.
