PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — In an event mirrored in Seattle, women marched through Portland Saturday as a demonstration against hate.

The Portland Women March Against Hate event featured speakers City Councillor-elect Chloe Eudaly and Rebekah Katherine Brewis.

The rally started at Director’s Park and then the group lead a 1 mile march at the same time as the march held in Seattle.

Participants came to support women and speak out about concerns with the government and President-elect Donald Trump.

“My message is for Tom Price,” Barbara Chapnick said. “It’s my body, my choice and get out of my vagina.”

Betty Baldwin is a grandmother and teacher who marched, “Because I feel A lack of morality coming into government. At this point and we need to stand up for moral ideals which so far, I have not heard anything this president-elect, I will not call him a president, has espoused.”
