PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The body of a woman found in a Yamhill County blueberry field was identified as a 38-year-old Vancouver resident.
Lilia Cosco-Ortiz was last seen leaving her Vancouver home late on October 1, the Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office said. Family members told investigators they believed she was headed to the Oregon coast and was expected back on October 2.
When she didn’t arrive, her family reported her missing to Vancouver police.
Her death was ruled a homicide, but the way she died has not been released.
Investigators are looking to to talk with Victor Melcher Villalba — also known as Victor Bello Rojas. The 36-year-old was last seen driving a white Toyota Tacoma with an Oregon plate of 184-HLR.
The Tacoma, an extended-cab pickup, likely has damage on the right side of the tailgate, authorities said.
Yamhill County DA Brad Berry told KOIN 6 News Cosco-Ortiz was in a relationship with Villalba.
