Frosted Flakes meets beer in brewer collaboration

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Two local breweries are teaming up to bring the goodness of childhood breakfasts to adult beverages.

Montavilla Brew Works in Portland and Coin Toss Brewing Co. in Oregon City have created a limited batch of a Frosted Flakes cereal double IPA called “Catch a Tiger.”

The 10-barrel batch is made from 25 pounds of Frosted Flakes, mashed with pilsner malt and 4 other specialty grains for a bitter flavor with citrus, pine and orange aromas.

Catch a Tiger will be available at Montavilla on Sept.16 and at Coin Toss on Sept.18.
