PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A motorcyclist was sent to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after crashing into a car Tuesday afternoon, police said.
The crash happened on SE Deardoff Road near Flavel Street at 5 p.m.
Investigators determined the motorcyclist, identified as 33-year-old John W. McArthur of Portland, was driving at a high rate of speed when he crossed the center line and crashed into a car driving the other direction.
The other driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with Portland police officers.
McArthur remains in a Portland hospital with life-threatening injuries.
No citations have been issued in the crash (which remains under investigation).
