PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Al Sievers, an area landscaper accused of unlawful trade practices and financially abusing vulnerable people, was found not guilty on all charges by a jury Thursday.

Sievers faced 17 complaints related to those 2 charges dating back nearly 20 years.

The state’s lawsuit against Sievers accused him of targeting seniors who he “induced into signing blank contracts or invoices,” and of charging fees that were exorbitant compared to industry standards.

In a KOIN 6 News story about Sievers in July, his attorney noted Sievers “has owned and operated his sprinkler design, installation and repair business for over 40 years. Mr. Sievers takes all complaints very seriously. He and his wife of 48 years do their best to amicably resolve the relatively small number that are made.”

The attorney added Sievers looked forward to a jury trial.

That Clackamas County jury heard the issues and found Sievers not guilty on all charges.
