Cash, cars, coke, heroin seized in Vancouver bust

VANCOUVER, Wash. (KOIN) — A 9-month investigation culminated in the arrest of 5 people and the confiscation of cash, cars, cocaine and heroin.

Three different locations in Vancouver — 10909 NE Burton Road, 13314 SE 19th Street #H3 and 16801 SE 1st Place Vancouver — were searched as part of the investigation. Seven children were found at one of the residences, and Child Protective Services was called.

The 5 people arrested are accused of being in an organized crime ring in a conspiracy to distribute drugs. They are:

— Sabino Barrera-Briseno, 30
— Zulema Ortega-Gutierrez, 36
— Carlos R. Garcia-Carrillo, 31
— Alejandro Amezquita, 27
— Mario Rodriguez Rojas, 30

Investigators said they seized $35,000 in cash, a pound of heroin, an ounce of cocaine, 10 vehicles, 2 all-terrain vehicles and 2 watercraft.

The investigation was conducted by the Clark-Vancouver Drug Task Force and the Gresham Oregon Special Enforcement Team.
