Two shot in fast food parking lot in NE Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Two people suffered non-life threatening injuries late Friday when they were shot in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant.

Officers say the shooting was reported shortly before 11:30 p.m. on Friday in the 3500 block of Northeast 82nd Avenue. Police arrived and found two victims, a male and female, suffering from gunshot wounds.

Police say multiple gunshots were fired at the two people.

Officers have not announced any arrests. It remains unknown if the two people were being targeted.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, around 2 a.m. an officer in the area of North Precinct, at 449 Northeast Emerson Street, reported hearing gunshots.

Additional officers responded to check the area after nearby neighbors called 911 and also reported hearing gunshots. Evidence of gunfire was found near Northeast 18th and Northeast Ainsworth Street. Police say a vehicle was damaged.

Both shootings are being investigated by the Gang Enforcement Team.
