PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Police are asking for the public’s help finding a missing 79-year-old man whose family says they are concerned for his welfare.

Andrew Griener hasn’t been seen since he left his home near SE 106th Avenue and Burnside Street around 12 p.m. Thursday, Portland Police Bureau said.

He was reportedly using a walker and had his right arm in a sling when he left.

Police say Griener may have been going to RiteAid on SE 117th Avenue and Division Street. It’s unlikely that he would have taken TriMet to get there, police said.

Griener is described as a white man, 5’9″ tall and 182 pounds. He was last seen wearing a yellow T-shirt, white pants and white sneakers.

His family says it is unusual for him to be gone this long.

Anyone who sees Griener should call 911 immediately.
